MaineIT is in the process of rolling out the current version of the Zoom application to all State machines. While the rollout of the current client will be virtually seamless to users, some personal settings will be reset to default values after the rollout has completed.

For you, this means you may notice your Zoom desktop icon has been removed or that you are no longer notified before the start of meetings. You will want to take a few minutes to reset your personal settings when you first log in after the rollout. The good news is these steps listed in this how-to guide will only need to be completed once.

After you have reset your personal settings they will remain every time you log into Zoom. The table below lists some common Zoom settings and their status after rollout. For the settings above, a green checkmark indicates that your previous settings will remain after the rollout and no action will need to be taken on your part.

A red X indicates those setting that will be reset to default values after the rollout. If you had previously changed the default values of these settings prior to rollout, you will need to change them back to your preferred setting after the rollout.
