Of course, I am choosing “share sound” before sharing my screen to everybody. My zoom is up to date. It occurs with different types of audio files, and all of those files are playing just fine outside of the sharing through zoom.

I can play an audio file and or a video with audio through screen share and the out of nowhere it will stop working. However, if I quickly open up my sound tab and select Realtek Digital Output it will resume sending the audio through. You can also choose to mute yourself while screen sharing.

Now you know how to screen share with audio from your laptop or desktop. But what happens if you connect to a Zoom meeting from your phone? Screen sharing with audio from your iPhone or Android is actually even easier. This brings up the Zoom broadcast screen. Zoom should be checked by default. Just tap the Start Broadcast button to begin.

Zoom gives you a three-second countdown before the broadcast starts. If you were muted when you tapped the Share Content button, you will get a notification that your microphone is off.

Once the countdown completes, the Start Broadcast button will change to a Stop Broadcast button. Swipe up or press your home button to move to the broadcast control screen. The broadcast control screen includes an option to share your phone audio. In most cases it will be enabled by default. Then open the app you want to share in Zoom. If you don’t already know you’re able to share sound while sharing content in-meeting!

To share computer audio, you can click on ‘Share Screen’ to either share computer audio with your video you can check the ‘Share sound’ Bottom left corner , or for music you can click on the advanced tab and click on ‘Computer sound only.

Also , some configurations may help your screen-sharing experience as well. As previously said, ensure that ‘share computer audio’ and ‘optimize for video clip’ when sharing content. Within your Zoom desktop client settings under ‘Share screen’ click on ‘Advanced’ and check or uncheck, “Use Hardware acceleration to optimize video sharing”, and see if that changes or makes a difference for your Screen sharing experience.
