However, I changed my desktop Outlook to retrieve email via POP and the reminder values are now properly retained for new invitations. The problem I have is that on another computer I have that is set up for IMAP the calendar reminder values are retained without any problem.

I do not want to switch to POP if possible. We’ve installed Office on 4 computers in 3 separate locations, and everyone is experiencing the exact same behavior described by the original poster. The suggestions you listed did not fix the problem. Switching to POP3 is not an option for us. The link you supplied applies to Invites we send, and that appears to be working without issue.
